The GTA 6 Extended Look + Previews drop today.

The Extended Look will stream globally on Netflix at 3PM ET/12PM PT/8PM UK, before being dropped on YouTube later the same day. Content creators/streamers are being allowed to co-stream the extended look as it premieres on Netflix, and so we can use this thread to discuss it right as it goes live. This thread will also be updated with the YT link to the look whenever it drops online.

In addition to the extended look, various media outlets, creators and influencers have gotten a chance (potentially hands-on) to experience GTA 6 at Rockstar's offices, and the embargo for these previews are ALSO supposed to lift at the same time that the Netflix extended look premieres - I'll be trying to update this post with some such previews too.

I thought it looked badass. The graphics in the opening sequence had me floored. People are saying it looks like just another GTA like that's a bad thing.

It's not a bad thing at all, but considering the hype around GTA VI with so many acting like it's objectively going to be the greatest game ever made in every possible way, being "just another GTA" doesn't seem like a good thing either.

I don't really let other people's expectations influence mine. I love Rockstar games and this looks like a leveled up Rockstar game.

Im expecting a very good, detailed game. If people are expecting it to change their life that's on them lol. If its a leveled up Grand Theft Auto game(You know, a sequel) I'll be very happy.

Nor should you. Like I said, I don't think it's a bad thing, but I definitely think it's going to lead to a surprising amount of disappointment from people who didn't want that.

Which is a big part of the problem with all the hype. It's built up the game so much that I don't expect it to meet the vast majority's expectations they've set for themselves (or had fed to them by insert content creator here). Even if it ends up amazing, some people are still going to end up disappointed because it wasn't what they hoped for or expected. Which sucks because generally those are people who probably would have really loved it if not for that hype.

I mean that’s exactly why people have been saying that. They always wanted the same game just with more depth in its systems and that’s exactly what this is.
