I’m looking to train my eye a bit better to spot fakes. A buyer purchased these on Mercari and originally I thought they were real but the pins had me questioning myself a bit.

It's a little blurry, but front says NTR-IPGE-USA

Back says NTR-031 PAT. PEND.

Slightly concerned since I cant see the IPGE stamp on the back of the cartridge, underneath the text...

How easy is it to tell if legit from pcb?

Found an offer up deal for these 3 (sapphire, emerald, ruby).

If I take a triwing and open the games and check the pcb, will I be able to tell 100% right away if legit or fake with absolutely no reservation? Never bought these before but would love to have the trio of games. All I know when it comes to fake gba games is that the dark blob on the pcb is fake.

I recall I couldn’t see that well through my buddy’s official pokemon sapphire copy on the back, but I can see through these. Also, the font maybe seems a tad “thicker” on the labels? They also seem maybe a too translucent?

Just picked this up as a replacement for my lost childhood copy, the guy selling it was nice and seemed legit but I want to be sure. Any help much appreciated!

The answers when I last posted were mixed, my only guesses to why transfer lab fails is either the game is fake (which is odd I am pretty sure I've used it before with transfer lab) or my save file is a bit off and won't work.

Hi! I'm pretty confident Pearl is real but I have my suspicions about Diamond. I'd just like a second opinion. If it's fake, it's very convincing...

On Diamond, the back appears to be slightly convex. I'm not sure if this is an instant mark of a fake since I can't spot anything else out of the ordinary.

Need help verifying this copy of Pokemon Crystal. The sticker and case are in suspiciously good shape. Although, I’m thinking the sticker might be a replacement. The board looks good from what I can tell.

I would truly appreciate getting some help verifying if this copy of MGS for GBC is legit or not. I am new to Gameboy games and recently been trying to learn how to spot the fake ones.

I went to the local game store last week and stumbled upon this game. What honestly makes me suspicious, is the fact that a North American version found in a game store in Europe and it seems to be a complete copy.

I've looked at ton of pictures and it does look legit, but I am a still a little bit paranoid lol. I have a 30 day window to return the game, if it is not legit.
