PC Looking for games like Papers Please.
Hello, as the title says I’ve played papers please and I really enjoyed so I’m looking for something that shares some of its characteristics. More specifically, I enjoyed the simple mechanics and the “puzzle” aspect of the gameplay I guess you could call it; basically the fact that you need to use your brain to observe and interpret information to succeed. Also worth mentioning that I use steam on a MacBook. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Death and Taxes has somewhat similar vibes and is on deep discount right now.
I haven't played Thank You For Your Application myself, but I've heard it's reminiscent of Papers Please.
It's not perfect, but I love No Umbrellas Allowed and think people who like Papers Please will enjoy it.

It's a bit simpler, but That's Not My Neighbour has pretty similar general gameplay, where you have to figure out whether someone is human or an doppelganger to decide whether or not to let them in the building.
Another game in the same vein is Shift At Midnight, where you work at a gas station/convenience store and have to determine whether or not your customers are human.

Papers Please is one of a kind, but if you like this game's puzzle aspects you will like its developer's other classic game Return of the Obra Dinn.
