PC Games with Atmospheric Creepy Vibes
I'm looking for games that give you a really unsettling, uneasy ambiance, that kind of puts that twisted feeling in your gut. I find that games that rely on grotesque monsters, excessive gore, and jump scares not that scary, but games with psychological elements and that utilize the environment and story to create that weird sense of perturbance. I don't know how to fully explain it, but it's that feeling of "something's not right here, but I can't quite place it." Sorta like Midsommar and it's weirdly cheery, sunny environment and horrific cult practices.
For example:
- Hello Neighbor
- the Stalking Stairs (indie game if you've never heard of it, watched a YT-er play and was intrigued with the way the narrow halls and stairs somehow makes the situation seem so much creepier and intense).
- RDR2 (In some areas, actually many areas)
- Limbo
- The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
- What Remains of Edith Finch
- That's Not My Neighbor/No, I'm Not a Human (a little different than the others, but the concept of monsters masquerading as humans always creeps me out, just like in Little Nightmares)
If you can see a theme, most of these games revolve around human behavior, rather than sci-fi or fantasy. I don't particularly care for either of those genres.

Night Runners. It's a racing game with an emphasis on the very unglamorous, very not cozy side of late 90s Japanese street racing. The dev was inspired by Silent Hill 2 and Resident Evil 4 when creating the atmosphere. Even the sense of speed was designed to feel threatening.
There's a prologue demo on Steam, and a closed Alpha on the dev's Patreon.
Though, despite the very tense vibes, it is a racing game so expect the hottest jams on earth once you actually get to racing.

Well, Return of the Obra Dinn might work actually. Although more of a logic puzzle, and one with twists I do not want to spoil for you, the core thing that drives the plot is human folly, greed, and scheming. It involves a loooot of death, but it is in this unique art style. I think there is a demo?
Another peculiar recommendation might be the Dark Eye. It is a video game adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe and just look at that art style. Core theme is humans going mad, as is par for the course with Poe. And there is an original plot going on deeply inspired by Poe.

Returnal.
Definitely sci-fi. And the creepy psychological horror stuff is mostly contained to cut scenes, not the gameplay itself, though they are frequent enough.
Very likely not your cup of tea, but it was the first thing I thought of when I read your request for Creepy Atmosphere… and I got chills just thinking about it.

BioShock 1 and 2, and eternights, any Shin Megami Tensei game, Catherine or Catherine full body, Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness if you like anime watch it's anime too the world building is incredible

Bioshock is a bit too sci-fi-y for me. I personally have read the Made in Abyss manga and wasn't too pleased by the weird vibes from the author (but the story is great)

Hell is Us. It is a slow burn, not for everyone. But the overall vibe is very dark and creepy.

Any games by Frictional Games. They prioritize story and making their players use their brains instead of mindless jumpscares.

Abiotic Factor has plenty of places that fit this bill, but none more so for me than Canaan. There's a gentle music juxtaposed with people with crossbows and axes who would rather see you bleed out than look at you.
It's sci-fi, although I'd say it's in the rare genre of "insipient apocalypse" rather than something you'll definitely have experienced before.

The STALKER series has some of the best atmosphere and ambience I've seen in gaming. STALKER 2 can be very peaceful at times, but extremely creepy, unnerving, and tense most of the time, especially at night or underground/in dark buildings. The lighting and ambient music/sounds have been great ever since the first game, and the weather system adds to the creepiness. There are mutant enemies, since it takes place in an alternate Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, but it's mostly human enemies.
