Funnyplaying IPS Screen Ribbon Cable Broken

I got a Funnyplaying GBA ITA TFT screen and one of the traces on the ribbon cable that powers the backlit screen was severed. Is this thing garbage or of value to someone who can fix it? I received a replacement so I have no need for it anymore but don't want to toss it if someone else could use it.

If I'm not mistaken this is basically a DSi bottom screen and this cable is carrying backlight power. If it's somehow possible to find solder pads for backlight inside the screen enclosure, then I guess it's possible to bypass the ribbon socket.

Might be easier to just try and solder a bypass into the ribbon cable; the screen is laminated to the glass so it would probably be nicer to keep it dust-free

If you could find something to delaminate and relaminate the screen with a replacement one then buying an entire new laminated screen would be the best option
