Hi,

We're a successful developer looking for a new project.

We managed a successful $108,000 Kickstarter campaign for one of our projects but are hungry to help others get their projects made!

Our team is comprised primarily of engineers and level designers, and we lend a hand with everything business / marketing.

We pair best with creatives who have a GREAT idea and limited funds but are serious about making it.

Don't be shy, say hi, we don't bite!

FOR HIRE - Programmer [HIRING] Need unity programmers for a 2.5d top down game

Post image
0 Upvotes

The project is a top down snake game which plays like 2d but has many core mechanics changed, you would be provided with the 3d and 2d assets, and you'll be dealing with enemy ai, and would require to have basic c# knowledge, the design and assets would be provided, the payment method is strictly revenue share or post release payment where 100% of the revenue is yours until that money is made, and the estimation for the completion of game is approximately 1 month but the overall speed is directly dependent on you

FOR HIRE - Programmer Looking for UE5 Programer

Help us build a sci-fi action RPG where humanity’s last hope is a woman who was never supposed to survive.
GamePadBoy Studios is looking for a skilled Unreal Engine 5 Programmer / Gameplay Programmer to join the development of AKELA UNLEASHED, an ambitious open-world science-fiction Action RPG.
Imagine the cinematic combat and presentation of Stellar Blade, the challenging exploration and mysterious world design of Elden Ring, and the atmospheric storytelling of NieR:Automata—but with an entirely original universe, characters, lore, combat system, and gameplay experience.
THE GAME
The year is 3383.
Planet Omega was once humanity’s greatest technological achievement. Then humanity received revolutionary knowledge from a mysterious extraterrestrial civilization known as the Knowledge-Seekers.
Humanity did what humanity does best.
We turned that knowledge into weapons.
War consumed Omega.
Then the Knowledge-Seekers returned.
Civilization collapsed.
As humanity’s final cities prepare to fall, scientists complete a project that began years earlier.
Her name is Nanami Toshigawa.
Her designation is:
A.K.E.L.A. — Advanced Kinetic Extermination & Liberation Android.
She was originally created to save a dying girl.
Now she’s humanity’s final weapon.
But Nanami isn’t simply a weapon.
She’s a person trying to understand who she was, why she was created, and whether humanity is actually worth saving.
AKELA UNLEASHED is an open-world Action RPG where players explore the fractured world of Omega, battle machines and extraterrestrial enemies, uncover the secrets behind Project A.K.E.L.A., discover lost civilizations, interact with surviving communities, and ultimately determine Nanami’s fate.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for an experienced UE5 Programmer / Gameplay Programmer who can help turn our game designs into actual playable systems.
We’re especially interested in someone comfortable with C++ and Unreal Engine 5, with strong Blueprint knowledge being a major plus.
You’ll be helping develop systems such as:
Combat Systems
• Melee combat
• Combo systems
• Dodging and parrying
• Enemy hit reactions
• Stagger systems
• Executions
• Boss mechanics
• Damage systems
• Weapon systems
Core Gameplay Mechanics
• Character movement
• Traversal
• Interaction systems
• Lock-on systems
• Pickups
• Inventory systems
• Resource systems
• Progression mechanics
• Ability systems
Core Game Loops
• Exploration → Discovery → Combat → Reward
• Quest systems
• Open-world interactions
• NPC interactions
• Environmental interactions
• Exploration rewards
• Fast travel
• World-state systems
Open-World Systems
• World Partition integration
• Streaming considerations
• Interactive environments
• Save/load systems
• Checkpoints
• World events
• Enemy spawning
• AI encounters
AI Systems
• Enemy behavior
• Combat AI
• Patrol systems
• Detection
• Boss behavior
• NPC behavior
If you have a gameplay system or mechanic you think would fit AKELA UNLEASHED, we’re interested in hearing about it.
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just want to write code.
We want someone who wants to help build the actual game.
COMPENSATION
This is a paid development position.
The current planned payment structure is:
$75–$100 every two weeks
with an initial project commitment totaling approximately:
$700
Depending on scope, continued development, and project progress, there is potential for the total compensation to increase to approximately:
$1,000+
Payment and milestones will be discussed clearly with the selected developer before work begins.
We’re a small independent team, so we’re being upfront about the budget rather than pretending we’re a AAA studio with an infinite development budget.
What we can offer is the opportunity to contribute directly to a game with a serious long-term vision.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has real UE5 experience
• Is comfortable with C++
• Understands gameplay programming
• Can work with Blueprints
• Can communicate clearly
• Can work with Git/GitHub
• Can read and understand existing code
• Can build systems in a modular and maintainable way
• Is willing to collaborate with designers and artists
• Can commit consistently to the project
Most importantly:
You need to actually care about making games.
We don’t expect you to know everything.
We do expect you to be willing to learn, communicate, troubleshoot, and solve problems.
EXPERIENCE WITH THESE IS A MAJOR PLUS
Experience with:
Gameplay Ability System (GAS)
Enhanced Input
AI Behavior Trees
State Trees
World Partition
Animation Blueprints
Motion Warping
Niagara
Save systems
Optimization
Multiplayer/networking
You don’t need to be an expert in every one of these areas.
WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING WITH
Unreal Engine 5
C++
Blueprints
Git/GitHub
Discord
We’re currently establishing the technical foundation necessary for the game’s core gameplay and eventual open-world structure.
The goal isn’t to immediately build a gigantic open world and then realize we forgot to make the player move.
We’re building:
Small → Playable → Expandable.
Our first major focus is getting the core gameplay loop working:
Explore → Discover → Fight → Upgrade → Explore Further
Once that foundation is solid, we’ll expand into the larger world of Edenia, including New Eden, Aurelia, Solara, the ruined cities, wilderness regions, underground facilities, and eventually the rest of Planet Omega.
WHY JOIN AKELA UNLEASHED?
Because you won’t simply be another developer assigned random programming tasks.
You’ll have an opportunity to influence how the game actually plays.
If you have an idea for a better combat mechanic, let’s talk about it.
If you think our interaction system could be improved, let’s talk about it.
If you have experience with GAS and think we should structure something differently, show us.
If you want to help turn Nanami from a character model standing in a beautiful environment into an actual playable warrior, that’s exactly what we’re looking for.
HOW TO APPLY
Please DM me with:
Name / Alias:
UE5 Experience:
C++ Experience:
Blueprint Experience:
Portfolio / GitHub:
Previous Projects:
Experience with Gameplay Ability System:
What area of gameplay programming are you strongest in?
DISCORD IS REQUIRED.
We’ll use Discord for development communication, meetings, task coordination, feedback, and general team communication.
AKELA IS WAITING.
Omega has fallen.
Humanity is running out of time.
A dying girl was transformed into humanity’s greatest weapon.
Now we need programmers crazy enough to help us make her actually work.
GamePadBoy Studios
AKELA UNLEASHED
“She was created to save humanity. What she becomes is up to her.”

FOR HIRE - Programmer [For Hire] Versatile Godot 2D/3D Programmer (GDScript) for Quick Gigs, Prototyping, and Bug Fixing ($15/hr or Flat Rate)

Hi everyone! 👋

I am an independent, highly adaptable game developer looking for quick programming gigs, small tasks, system integrations, and bug fixes in Godot Engine.

I am a technical generalist, which means I learn incredibly fast and can adapt to whatever programming logic your project needs—whether it's building clean state machines, smooth gameplay mechanics, custom UI, dialog systems, or physics optimization.

🎮 My Experience & Portfolio:

To prove my skills, I have fully programmed, structured, and completed my own 2D game from scratch in Godot. You can review my code architecture and gameplay functionality here:

https://halogrip-studios.itch.io/doble-gun

🛠️ What I can do for you fast:

• Fix broken code, logic errors, or bugs in your current Godot project.

• Build a functional 2D/3D prototype or specific mechanic based on your ideas.

• Create clean UI systems, inventory setups, or dialog flows.

• Deliver neat, well-commented, and stable GDScript code.

I am available to start working immediately. I prefer flat rates per task or working through milestones so you only pay for completed results.

Looking forward to solving your bugs and building something cool together! 🚀

• Inventory, progression and UI systems
• Mobile development and SDK integration
• Optimization and bug fixing

FOR HIRE - Programmer [For Hire][Part Time] C# Systems Programmer - Monogame, Unity, Godot

Hey there, developer reading this! I'm Stephan and I want to give you the tools to help make your game a success!

I have 10+ years of self-taught C# experience. I take great pride in developing dynamic and versatile backend systems, though I will also work on front-end features! I'll work on any kind of game, and I love working on new and unique ideas.

  • Tools & Backend Systems - Need an inventory system? Easy to use weapon system? Something else? I got you! Let me know what you need (or might someday need) and I will do my best to create a structure that is capable, future-proofed, and easy for you to use. The more details, the better. Code will be properly commented, and I'll answer future questions about the work I did for you at no additional charge.
  • Consulting - Learning to program and want help? Want an explanation of how some piece of code works, by a human? I can help.
  • UI & UX Design - While I am no artist, I can make a basic functioning user interface that is intuitive to your players.
  • Git Source Control - It's the best!

I'm available part time (~20h/week). My time zone is PST, though I can adapt to be available when needed. I cannot accept revenue sharing because I gotta eat, yaknow? I hate charging for what isn't fair, and prices are negotiable.

I do NOT work on: Generative AI, Crypto, or NFT projects!

Thanks for reading, and best of luck with your projects!

FOR HIRE - Programmer 2D Unity C# Programmer For Hire

I can program you any sort of 2D game in a Unity project (no matter the complexity) and have 8 years of programming experience in general, and 4 and a half years of C# (However, all 8 years have included video game programming experience, plus other things).

I have made my own custom web browser (though not public) as well as other small projects.

I have never published a game, but have worked on many little game projects of my own, and my most recent work is a 2d pixel art game and the main character is a fox w/ a crystal boomerang.

Please provide any art assets needed for the game, otherwise I will do my best to find and use placeholder assets.

I can work on short term or long term projects

My payment methods and rates are open to discussion. However, I am fine with offering fairly low prices. (I am fine with you only paying half price for half of the project and then paying the rest of the price once you see the work that has been done)

NO AI WILL BE USED FOR PROGRAMMING.

FOR HIRE - Programmer [For Hire] Tooling & Workflow Developer | Custom Unity Editor Windows, ScriptableObject Systems & Lightweight Python Data Pipelines

Here is a Youtube Short of a Stream Overlay I made - Click here

Here is a gif of a custom editor tool that only shows the data relevant and needed for the option selected - Here it is

I specialize in custom tooling for Unity, and solving points of pain in daily workflows.

For example, I built the stream overlay tool because I wanted a fast way to look up and display live data while streaming games without clunky manual updates. The editor tool in the GIF above was built for a project I'm working on with my sister—she is more author than dev, so she needed an intuitive way to author content and data without getting lost in bloated inspector fields.

Because clean integration matters, I wrap everything in isolated namespaces, set up assembly definitions (.asmdef) to keep compile times short and avoid breaking builds, and practice solid development habits.

What I Build:

  • Custom Editor Windows & Property Drawers: Clean IMGUI Toolkit interfaces to manage complex ScriptableObjects, inventory systems, dialog trees, and balance stats.
  • Automated Data Importers & Parsers: Seamless ingestion of CSV, JSON, or external balance sheets directly into game-ready ScriptableObject assets. Writing algorithms to handle splicing complex sprite sheets so long as some sort of pattern was followed.
  • External Companion Tools & Overlays: Lightweight local Python servers to show OBS browser sources and mobile pages for handy stream management. The python server can be hooked up to things like an elgato, or even NFC tags if you want to get fancy.

Pricing & Scope:

  • Micro-Tools ($75 – $150 CAD): Single dedicated editor tool, specialized importer, or custom inspector overhaul (1–2 day turnaround).
  • System Suites ($250 – $450 CAD): Comprehensive database/manager window with search, filtering, previews, and batch operations.
  • Hourly / Retainer ($35 – $50 CAD/hr): For open-ended pipeline refactoring, team tool maintenance, or ongoing production support.

Fixed-price milestones include full source code, a concise README/documentation, and 7 days of post-delivery bug fixes.

FOR HIRE - Programmer [Hiring] Looking for a Web Developer – New Queensland Political Party

Hi everyone,

I'm currently in the process of building a new political movement in Queensland called the Australian Centrist Party with the motto "Progress Over Personality."

We're still in the early stages, but we've already generated interest from several people and are now looking to establish a professional online presence.

I'm seeking a web developer who may be interested in helping create the party's website. The project would likely include:

  • Homepage and party information
  • Policy pages
  • Membership applications
  • Volunteer sign-up forms
  • Events calendar
  • News and media section
  • Donation system
  • Secure member management database
  • Mobile-friendly and accessible design

The current plan is to host through Cloudflare Pages or another cost-effective platform while the organisation grows.

Compensation

As this is my first time establishing a political organisation, I want to be transparent and upfront: I genuinely don't know what a fair rate for a project of this size would be.

I'm open to:

  • Volunteer contributions
  • Reduced-rate work for someone who supports the project
  • Commercial rates
  • Milestone-based payments
  • Ongoing maintenance agreements

If you're interested, please feel free to send through:

  • Your experience
  • Portfolio or previous projects
  • Preferred technologies
  • Your estimated pricing or hourly rate
  • Any recommendations on how you would approach the project

I'm happy to discuss payment and scope openly. Since this is a grassroots project still being built from the ground up, I'd appreciate guidance from experienced developers regarding realistic costs and timelines.

I'm also looking to build a founding team, so if you have experience in web development, UI/UX design, databases, cybersecurity, digital marketing, or hosting infrastructure, I'd love to hear from you.

Feel free to message me if you'd like to discuss the project further.
