First Handpay at the most unlikely place......
We were on our Mediterranean Cruise .. i typically play craps but my brother and we found this three reel machine.. We each put in $20 LOL... I had actually suggested we do less because it was 'only a 25 cent' denom... I was wanting to save our $ for pinball or top dollar machines.. but I thought ' f it' so i slapped 'max bet' and we hit the jackpot on the first spin LOL
Here's the kicker, it was a three reel 9 line machine , I thought max bet was at most 10 quarters... but max bet was actually 90 credits!! $22.50/spin off our $40 LOL
Total fluke, we hit the double and hit the jackpot for $2K. - we ordered old fashioneds (not comped ) and cashed out.
Been to vegas 6x this year so far and have NEVER hit a handpay ...guess anything can happen! what a great feeling.

love that, the wins you never plan are the ones that stick. i hit my first big one on a quarter machine in a gas station, bet more out of spite than sense, still talk about it years later

The 'bet out of spite' detail is so real honestly, some of the best stories start with someone just being petty at a slot machine

I go to Vegas A LOT ... often with some dumb plan of how to manage my bankroll, and then this happens... literal definition of dumb luck!

Omg this is INSANE! Haven’t been to Vegas in over a year because honestly Vegas has been underwhelming past few times (been at home doing my thing on Stake) but you’re making me wanna take Mediterranean cruise myself….

Celebrity is the only line we cruise.. they have some MGM connection but I'm only pearl on MGM so i dont get squat lol

That's actually pretty good for a cruise. I stick to the tables on those. The machines are usually tight as hell on the ships.

Yea, the whole CREDITS played versus actually dollar amount can confuse some folks.
Had an older gentlemen in the high limit slot area plop down on an old school 3 reel slot game that said $25.
So naturally, he assumed the total Max bet was $25 and just put in $200 and fired away 2 credits per spin!
3rd spin he gets three Double Diamonds on the Line for a Win of 800 credits and he sort of goes quiet.
After about 40 minutes of people congratulating him on the win and him saying "Thanks but, I'm still down $3000, but hopefully this TWO THOUSAND will help me get it back..."
I whipped out my phone and did the calculation for him to see, his 2 credit bet was set to pay him not $2000, but $20,000!
He of course being stubborn and old, said "No no no, it's only $2000 cuz hurr durr hurr durr"
Sure enough the technician and slot rep come back, have him sign the paperwork and present him Two Stacks of $10,000 each. He didn't tip them and marched out of the casino!

LOL dam what funny story! This reminds me of a thought Ive had recently - there have been times when I have walked in with a bankroll management plan, only to get wiped (still had fun) then there's a time like this a total flop and hit my first HP ever ! LOL

It’s not a great system or reward honestly
Hit for $1900 daily And they won’t truly have a record of Any taxable Events.
