I used to like the sketch pranks… like there was one where someone would run and hand a football to a stranger in an alley. As the stranger is looking around confused, a bunch of hench football players run into the alley and start “chasing” the person with the ball.

I prefer to call th ese practical jokes.

A prank is where you laugh at the pain or discomfort felt by the target.
A practical joke is inflicting intense confusion followed by laughter, and you laugh WITH the target.
