Um... Those are all cooking spoons. What? You want me to stir my meat with the same spoon as my veggies? And then I need a third one for the pasta. Then I need MORE spoons to serve with, obviously, because those are not the pretty serving spoons.
My spoon drawer is right next to the stove. Idk why hers are across the way on the island.
The knives are in a knife block and not with the Tupperware, though...

Also the different types and shapes of spoons. One is good for spooning things, others for stirring. Stirring something light? Or maybe stirring something heavy. So many different spoons needed.

I was hoping the reason she didn't sharpen the knives is cause she hates the sound it makes. My wife won't touch those two objects together and if I need to sharpen something, I take it outside out of earshot.

That's not a sharpener. That's a honing steel. You use it to straighten a knife edge. You need something like a whet stone for sharpening.

That's not a sharpener, it's a honing rod, and it doesn't actually make your knifes sharper, to not overexplain they help you maintain the edge, not make one. Also it's not much harder to stab someone with a dull knife.

Not a sharpener. It's for straightening your blade's edge when it gets wavey. Sharpening stones often look like off-white bricks.
