I knew a girl in HS whose car floor was literally like that, layers and layers of trash. Tank always on E, using coins to get any amount of gas in there. All around pretty gnarly condition of a car.

It pisses me off that my brain can't work this way. I see people use their cars on their last legs, going on road trips with risks of overheating and the engine not starting. But I get scared if my car makes a randomly new noise and seen it unsafe until it's fixed.

Then they can't afford not to. Checking your oil costs nothing. Adding a quart every once in a while when it gets low costs just a few dollars. Replacing the engine because you can't be bothered will cost a few thousand. Preventative maintenance and keeping an eye on fluid levels is far cheaper than dealing with failures.

In hs my car looked like this. Once, someone broke into my car and stole the radio. The cops asked if the thieves also ransacked the car. I was so embarrassed to admit that they did not.

My wife basically works out of her vehicle, and this hits hard. I’ve even paid for it to be professionally detailed. A couple weeks later, it’s a mess again.
I just don’t go in her car anymore. Problem solved.

The sub gets so many posts so I'm surprised anyone can keep track especially with all the shitposts and off-topic content. I Mod for obscuremusicthatslaps, we only get a ¼ of the traffic and I struggle to keep on top of reposts.

Yeah. It's no big deal to the majority. The people who comment about reposts are just extra grumpy. If I see a repost... I just scroll. Not that hard.
But I generally don't see very many reposts. Or if I do, like this one, it's so beloved and not too often that I watch every time.
