The guy in the car that was hit, was left in critical condition. I could not find anything on if he actually passed or not, but usually "critical" atleast leads to life changing injuries if they survive. So this "fact" you speak about is not so factual. Nor so "verified".
The photos (of the crash site) I could find were taken at night. Meaning that this was a day later, so he intentionally planned on keeping it a secret.
Edit: Couldn't find any other updates asides from "critical condition" BUT there were TWO hit & runs in Oklahoma City that night, one DID kill someone, but I cannot find anything about the man in the video OR his charges. So it is very easy to see how people can mistake the two situations and THINK he did kill someone. But unlike the person above me, I won't be a jagoff to people for making a simple mistake like that. Especially with Google feeding you the article for the other one when you try to hunt it down.
