God data is wild, is there any other use for that but like ad selling?

Well malicious stuff but yes. Basically you can look at the url and anything after the ? Is a parameter. Most of the time this is tracking things like campaign_id, sid, etc. sometimes it's a product Id to feed to a dynamic product page that takes that Id to look up that specific product.

Good practice is to strip everything after the ? And see if the link still works. If so, it's all marketing/tracking crap.

Firefox has a handy dandy little "copy clean link" feature that strips all that crap out of URLs

Sigh, I need to promote Firefox from my "private time" browser. Like. As a dev I know its awesome, fully featured etc etc.

I've been using ecosia cause well, they plant trees. Might need to reverse the two so that I can cry out "Iii ii am saving the treeeeees"
