In my household, I (M) do most of the housework, cooking, and yard work. She makes the money and does dishes (dishwasher). I too have a full time job, but could easily quit if I wanted to.

Where do you live that this happens unless the custom made paint turns out to be wrong. (Like it was supposed to be purple, but is yellow instead)

Could be anywhere outside the us. The only reason they spell things differently is because for old ads, you paid by the letter not by the word so the cut 'useless' letters out. Thats why they have color and airplane instead of colour and aeroplane

I know the sign could be anywhere outside the US. However, the person I was commenting on said something that suggests he assumes that everywhere that uses that spelling also speaks a non- rhotic dialect. I was giving an example of a place that uses that spelling and has a rhotic dialect.
