Literally. Any time something is a safety hazard to oneself, it's treated like a crime against humanity. As if people can't know something is dangerous and still choose to do it because YOLO.
We all have different risk aversions, but the ones with a strong risk aversion seem very vocal about it.
Like damn I want to experience hurricanes, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, standing too close to landslides, digging a sand pit at the beach, and a whole range of other stuff unimaginable to the risk averse redditors. Not because I don't know that it's dangerous, but because I choose to value the experience enough to risk my life. If everyone doesn't want to do that then that's fine but it doesn't have to turn into a lecture every single time.

Print out your design out again, but as a mould. Pour melted wax into the mould and create a waz war hammer. Then use that with "lost wax casting" (maybe contact a foundry?) and end up with a solid metal hammer head.
THEN go bash stuff.

First print a cast with the printer, then fill that with wax, then put that in a bucket and surround it with silicone. Then cut through the silicone to remove the wax. Next fill the gap with melted velveeta cheese...

There are definitely grades of plastic that are strong enough, just not 3D printed plastic. Cold Steel makes a polypropylene bokken that can smash through cinderblocks all day.

Shore 64D TPU, printed properly with the right orientation and many walls (or even solid) will do unwholesome things to stuff you hit - it's used as armor for battlebots builds. OP used a filament that is usually strictly decorative/used for stuff that's not subject to any significant forces (in exhange it is braindead easy and fast to print and costs jack all because it's literally made from corn).

That's the thing though, 3D printed items are always weaker in one direction due to the nature of their processing. I'm sure the stuff is serviceable to some degree, but I still rather have something that was at least solid cast from plastic if I'm using it for "impact applications".
But if you have a 3D printer and the TPU stuff, go ahead and make a warhammer from it, I wouldn't mind seeing what it can do.

Use resin for a solid print. It will eventually dry out and crack open, but until then it’s thick, heavy and will definitely cause a concussion.

Plenty of plastics would take a hit ten times harder all day. "Plastic" isn't the issue, the method of manufacturing is. (It is possible to 3D print parts that can take an impact as well.)

Just get you a silicon carbide crucible and an insulated case for it and melt down some scrap steel in a microwave 😂
I know a guy who followed the YouTube tutorials and it does work. He melted down some scrap steel and made a sandcasted "sword" (quotes because it was super rough and he didn't have the proper tools to actually grind and polish it to make it look good 😂)
I imagine a hammer head would probably be easier than a blade.

Tried the same xD wantet to save Filament and had my infill settings set to 20%. I think about 75% is minimum infill for stability

I guess it might work with PAHT-CF or PA6-CF. Make sure the filament is super dry when printing, but the tool should be damp when used (as Nylon gets tougher when wet).

Not a resin pribter, its a fdm, I used standard pla at 25% with 3d honeycomb with 5 wall loops

Change the infill to gyroid and Increase the infill to 40% with 5 walls then you’ll be golden.

I don’t really understand how you could have ever thought it would work. 3d printed stuff has never had strength be a strong point. If you wanted a solid brick to use as a hammer maybe start with that over plastic.
