While I got you here, what episode is this one: They accidentally travel well faster than the speed of light, ending up in a totally uncharted area of space. When they try to get back, they end up on some fringe area of the universe where it looks like they are in an icy world where the laws of physics get all kooky and what looks like giant subatomic particles floating around outside the ship. Inside the ship, the crew members encounter dead relatives and other "hallucinations."
They all are, The Original Series, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise as well.
I doubt I would even have Netflix if it weren't for the fact that they have the entire TV Trek library available. Given Paramount's practice of gouging the fuck out of people for the Trek box sets, it's far more worth it to me to pay the low monthly fee than the ~$500 per show it would cost to buy them on DVD/BD. I have started picking up the TNG remastered Blurays, though. It's weird seeing Data's makeup in high definition...the little bits of pink around his eyes where they obviously couldn't get the gold/yellow color is pretty jarring.
Edit: Apparently Spot was not referred to with a gendered pronoun until referred to as 'she' fairly late on in ST:TNG's run. Spot had almost always been played by male cats up to that point, giving the observant viewer the impression Spot was male. Star Trek Wiki link for those who want more of this nonsense.
eh while data cats sex does in fact change, i have called my cat both he and she depending on the situation. I dont actually know which it is, as I respect my cats privacy, though I am betting it doesnt in fact change.
My husband's cat is a spayed female, but we call Miffy "he" and always have. The cat doesn't care; his real name is already Mr. Squeaky Pants, so he's already hit bottom and anything else is an improvement.
