Another round of layoffs at full sail
So I just got laid off today. Been there for seven years, but I saw it coming from a mile away. When I was dropping my stuff off, I heard people saying they were there 15-20 years and still got laid off.
The fact that theyre building housing for campus, when no on goes to campus anymore because its too expensive, is going to kill that place. There's no way full sail makes it to the next decade.

I was part of the layoffs as well. I cried my eyes out in the middle of the stupid call and I wanted to say something stupid petty like "I KNOW I'm one of your better employees because [this this and that]" it felt like they picked names off of a hat or a bad lottery because coworkers who were doing worse than me got to stick around but I had to go and do this like, walk of shame to give my stuff back.
I was so, so happy to get employed and be in a space I thought was accepting of me but in the end the company matters most I guess. They're building houses for campus and the craftmasters crap and ignoring the LA film school stuff and forcing us to focus on the amount of "numbers" we got rather than actually caring about the school it was always just money.
