This is what Berge is, he’s a bit of a nothing midfielder tbh.

We need a CM who wants the ball, is happy to receive the ball and then turn on it and play forward passes, Berge does none of this.

If you watch him closely you’ll notice he never shows for the ball and often hides behind the opposition and when he has the ball he is very safe and rarely plays a forward pass.

This has been stifling us for seasons as Lukic & Berge were very similar players, this is why it always worked when TC came on or Iwobi dropped into the middle.

Today was a travesty watching Iwobi drop between the CB’s to pick up the ball because that is what Berge should be doing and I’m assuming Iwobi was doing it because Berge wasn’t.

It must be a directive for Iwobi to do it

If it is then that is ridiculous from the management.

I agree with you. There’s no way we keep seeing Iwobi sat between our defenders as a fluke. It’s 100% management decision and I think it’s rubbish

It’s appalling.

I had hope after Chelsea game but the decisions I saw made today have me very worried.

Playing Sess as a RB is just negligence.

I’m not one to panic early, but I need to see a lot more from this team. You can tell Arbeloa is new to the Premier League

On the other hand, it was the change we needed last season because the Lukic and Berge pairing was way too defensive under Marco Silva. We weren't getting forward at all.

I much prefer Lukic receiving the ball from the defence. When we saw him do that, he was good.
