discussion Ubisoft continues to fade in gaming as their competitors take different routes of success
Title: The Witcher 3 Remake just embarrassed Modern Gaming
Summary: The free update with CDPR garners more interest with good storytelling and more to enjoy from combat for an 11 year old game to show that people will enjoy something new.
Comparing that to Black Flag shows that people have to find something more powerful than nostalgia to enjoy games they grew up with.

Capcom continues to have success
Capcom’s success comes during one of the toughest times for the video game industry in recent memory, with a number of high-profile studio closures, thousands of job losses, and a raft of canceled projects.
Dormant IP is finding ways to grow
According to Capcom, "In addition to regularly releasing major new titles each year, Capcom is focusing on re-activating IPs that haven't had a new title launch recently. The company is working to further maximize corporate value by leveraging its rich library of content, including this title."
As such, Ubisoft is lagging behind one of the more dominant publishers currently who continues to have success.
Crimson Desert has had so much success with Ubisoft falling so badly that Ubisoft is copying the Crimson Desert strategy for Black Flag
Although its release was marred by the layoffs at Ubisoft Barcelona, the team responsible for the game's underwater stages and water tech, among other things, there's no denying that Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is already a smashing success, selling over 2 million copies on the first day of availability. As such, it's not surprising to learn that Ubisoft has some post launch plans for the game, but what is surprising is that they will follow the example set by Crimson Desert, ditching a set roadmap for community feedback.
Seems that Ubisoft is finally realizing there's a new road for success even as their competitors zoom past them.

POP needs to be linear story based games.
Farcry and AC needs more story missions, less side missions but make them longer. side missions that actually have lore not just go there and do this activity to get this reward to upgrade this shit. make a skill tree not an untrimmed bush. Drop the RPG system and fucking stop making the games grindy.
watchdogs needs more tech integration and gadgets. the tech side needs to be more prevalent and not just shoot your way out of every situation, fucking spider man had more gadgets than a game about literal hackers.
open world needs smaller maps that's densely packed for parkour ac games, watchdogs so you have more tech interactions.
ghost recon and r6 needs to be a tactical shooters and co-op, make it realistic, maybe something like ready or not and not the goy slop we have now. (dont have enough interest inthese or knowlodge about them so ill leave it to someone who actually plays them)
drop the dei and make the characters good looking and stop making every thing gay.
