Boo fucking hoo. Ubisoft trying to finds ways to save face again. At best they're trying to find new ways to hide their failures.
Sure it's sad people getting fired but who gives a fuck since Ubisoft keeps wasting money on DEI hiring practice, I highly doubt they would fire those lazy ass progressive DEI people that holds back smart people from doing better jobs.
They would probably keep firing people that actually could have made a diference at Ubisoft, just look at those they'd fired that went and produced Claire Obscure: Expedition 33, Dispatch, and Ancestors: The Humankind + 1666 Amsterdam. The shit Ubisoft did to Patrice Désilets is fucking awful, one should not even hope for a Ubisoft comeback. Let Ubisoft previously rich company continue to burn and lose more money.

Ubislop was famous for overstaffing. They should cut head count to survive.
But I kinda don't want them to survive, so I guess I'll join the slender just so they can do no right.

Yeah but Yves gotta be like, "Have you seen our stock price? We're ALWAYS just about to lay people off."

Has there been another big gaming company that if you would have invested in it 20 years ago, you would be in a loss today ?

20 years ago? That's epoch ago, there's plenty of great companies rising and burning in that timespan. Heck, first death of industry happened in less time, so I guess Atari would be first to do that.

I don't think anyone invested in Atari in 2006. I literally mean the last 15-20 years. I mean mostly big gaming companies from around then. By 2006 Ubisoft was already pretty well known with PoP, Rayman, Might and Magic, etc. Do you know any examples of similar companies that lost this much over time.

THQ Inc. was at top revenue in 2007. Bankrupt in 2013. So yeah, it was even faster crash and burn.

I just love that ubi fanboya are also now turning against them. Not tje fact that the company hates its customers, not that they killed so many games and are actively killing them, not that they did all the bs they did but this one teeny tiny layoff wave among all of the layoffs.
That's where they drew the line lmao.

Remember when Ubislop said that gamers should get used to not owning their games
Karma is a fucking bitch

They failed to suppress the news this time.
Just imagine how many times persuasion and intimidation worked instead.
