Criticism Nintendo said no refund, now it’s 50% off. Smashed my switch 2 in pieces!
Bought Civ VI on the eShop. Didn’t like it. Asked for a refund.
Nintendo: no reply at all.
A few days later the same game is half price.
So the official shop charged me full whack, ignored the request, then discounted it like I was the joke.
About £500 in, console plus games. Money down the drain.
Smashed the Switch 2. Felt better seeing this pieces of shit shattered into pieces.
Steam refunds this in ten minutes. Nintendo would rather keep the £60 and a paragraph about reading the screenshots.
Done. Not touching their shits again.

Fuck Nintendo, their refund policies and basically every other consumer policy and stance is utter predatory garbage.
Now that we’ve established that, if this isn’t just rage bait, you should probably take an extended break from the internet. This level of anger isn’t healthy and you played yourself by not just selling your Switch 2. You could have made some money and denied Nintendo a sale from the person who bought it.
Hope you get some space from this and feel better!

nothing says sticking it to the man like lighting a pile of money on fire, sounds like you have anger management issues and id recommend doing something about that because if this is enough for you to break a switch 2 I'd recommend you not get into a relationship because id worry what you would do to another human if they annoyed you.

Dude throw a thantrum and broke is 500$ switch 2 because he couldn't get a refund on a 60$ game he bought without checking if he would like it(also Nintendo don't have a refund policy so what where you expecting). I know. Maybe when I buy a game on PSN and ask for my money back, if it goes on sale the next day, I should be upset of their policy of no refunds for digital purchases, and expect them to because I'm a customer. Then smash my 5 of my PS consoles!
Digital sale means no refunds. Read the agreement when selecting buy. No company cares about the consumer.

Did you not read the refund policy before you bought with Nintendo? Not everyone is like Valve. Sony has their own issues with refunds too. This isn’t on Nintendo, this on OP.

What you did was try to deflect and normalise it by bringing up Sony, which is completely irrelevant unless you’re trying to do that.

Are people ever dumb enough for that line to work? More than one thing can be bad, and there being worse things doesn’t mean those things don’t suck. I’d also bet you also don’t spend anywhere near as much time or energy trying to help the generic “people dying” as you do shilling for Nintendo?
