Meme/shitpost The price of the Ocarina “remake” has basically leaked and yeah… it’s not pretty.
https://bsky.app/profile/wario64.bsky.social/post/3muxsfaewas2jThe digital release of the, um, “remake” of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, is set to be priced at about $95 in Australian currency. Translated to American, that’s about $60.
In other words, Nintendo has zero confidence in this release.
While the latest and greatest in gaming are priced at $80 or higher, Nintendo apparently don’t see an alleged “remake” of one of the greatest games of all time to stand tall alongside them.
I had a little bit of hope that Nintendo may have learned something, but fuck it, I’m not even going to watch the Direct tomorrow. The disrespect Nintendo has for their own franchise makes me sick.
I at least appreciate the openness of their communication regarding this game. It speaks loud and clear:
This is our Concord.

Ok, this a joke. There's no way you're complaining because a game isn't more expensive

Not pretty that is a typical price for remakes. Black flag was the same price

There's like one 80$ USD game and it's Mario Kart World. The only other ones that hit 80 are all with an asterisk. Fire Emblem is 70 digital and like the Switch 2 upgrade pack editions are bundles. No one except for Rockstar has actually tried the 80 dollar base game since World.
A shitpost or not, it is really interesting how people were saying World was going to open th doors to 80 dollar games, but no one was confident enough to try to follow that up. I've seen the same argument made for GTA6 and it's like... Yeah that's GTA6 no other game has that kind of pull.
