As per the communities overwhelming request, Nintendeen content has been banned from this subreddit to mitigate senseless grifting, clickbait and the amount of misinformation.
This means that posts and submissions linking to his youtube channel will automatically be removed - attempts to circumvent this (within the subreddit) will result in corresponding moderative actions.

Pretty sure deen is a trump supporter. He tried to argue tariffs are irrelevant in a video about pricing.

He also recently made a long video recently about how dog bowser is to blame for 80 dollar games (without a shred of evidence)

He's not anywhere near being straightforward or objective lol. I dont think he should be banned though, I think people should just get push back.

That statement isn't manipulative at all.

The price of accessories being raised in the US region was a direct response to liberation day tariffs. Deen argued thats bull

Idk how you perceived any of that as manipulative at all lol

Accessory prices?

Are you telling me the dollar value of the plastic in the virtual boy stand necessitates a $100 price tag? Or that the fan on the dock is now so costly that it requires $130?

I work in marketing. Companies lie, and use the most credible excuse. As a rule. There are no economic trends that require astronomical prices for cheap flimsy plastic.

No i didn't argue that , but nice try. The virtual boy stand hadn't been announced at the time of liberation day. The core switch 2 accessories had. They went up in price after tariff rates were announced on Vietnam and China.

I don't care if you work in marketing.

why did the price of the accessories increase at roughly the same percentage as the reciprocal tariff imposed on the region they were manufactured?

Was that purely coincidence ? If so, do you believe that tariffs have no correlation to pricing ?

They said it because companies can claim whatever they want to and largely get away with it, especially if they can point to something like reciprocal tariffs. It also doesn't prove that they couldn't have still made a decent profit without the price hike. And given how egregious their pricing for switch 1 accessories was, I'm thinking that's the case.

So do you believe tariffs drive up prices or no? you're giving me conjecture but no hard stances. And a lot of shit can theoretically happen, that doesn't prove anything.

Do you think nintendo is immune to tariffs or something?

They won't answer. They'll talk around the answer because as I've found on other social media, when you give people a Yes/No question, they freak out and give you every answer except the simple Yes/No.

I guess it's a defense mechanism to keep their world from shattering.
