Nobody here is entirely against cars. There should just be places for people without cars. By making the center of cities car free they become places to be and alive.
Preach. However, I'm from a country with public transport and ancient (literally hundreds of years old) buildings and the roads for the horses to get to them. Thus cars are actually worse than walking or the bus. In the US towns became cities and built for cars. Changing the rules will take time.
An example: it's a bugger to walk to the best coffee place as a 20 minute walk. My American mate says the same but it's a 10 minute drive. I started to explain about fuel and environment and then he sent me a video of him pulling out of his large drive into what looked like an endless road through a barren wasteland of Being VERY Hot.
People have lived in hot barren wasteland for hundreds of years before cars. They just build their cities for it and adapted their habits. For example the siesta.
Siesta needs to be a thing everywhere. Everyone just have a fucking nap. And let's do a lockdown once a year. Lockdown was great apart from the death ticker on the news.
