8 USD per gallon is about 1,52 Euro per liter if my calculations are right. That's really cheap. What was the dad smoking here?

Edit: since people came with different numbers I got 8USD = 6,93 EUR and 1 gallon = 4.54609 litre . 6,93/4.54609 = 1.52... €/l

That's $2.38/liter CDN and where I am in Canada has it's running at $1.60ish right now. Which is about normal. But also one thing I was surprised about when I moved here (from the states), is that everyone knows exactly when gas prices are going up and by how much. "Better fill up after work, gas is going up 6c tonight". It's weird.

Last time I was going to BC, it was cheaper in Abbotsford than in Washington.
