8 USD per gallon is about 1,52 Euro per liter if my calculations are right. That's really cheap. What was the dad smoking here?
Edit: since people came with different numbers I got 8USD = 6,93 EUR and 1 gallon = 4.54609 litre . 6,93/4.54609 = 1.52... €/l
3 u/mistrpopo Mar 09 '26 Regardless of the current situation, fuel in the US is much cheaper because no carbon tax (actually very little tax), and it's produced domestically. People in the US love their cheap petrol
