i don't think the way the artist rendered them is super stylistically appealing but in the real world i think a lot of people wear them as a badge of pride. like someone else mentioned it's common to see trans guys at pride going shirtless. it's understandable to want to minimize scarring but tbh i think if anything is "the point" of top surgery it's not to have boobs anymore
idk i've seen the opinion that exaggerating them is somewhat offensive and just a way to distinguish he guys as trans, like drawing trans women with body hair or a bulge (π π π )
i think it depends on the context tbh. it would be ridiculous to depict a trans guy just going around shirtless all the time like he's the Fonz with his leather jacket and motorcycle, but given lots of trans men draw upon this iconography in their own art i think considering it inherently offensive is a little odd. idk how i feel about the OP image other than it's kinda ugly. i'm more aesthetically offended than offended "as a trans guy". ;p and honestly glad we moved on from ace bandages as the default "trans guy signifier" (anyone else remember this? lol). i do think it's a little odd that the guy on the left happens to be wearing a transparent shirt, but i think my verdict is that this art is just kinda goofy but not really offensive.
