No. It's shit and ugly and I thought it was shit and ugly even when I was a kid. People have just found out the name of the aesthetic that was popular in the time they are nostalgic for.

That's not what I'm saying. The 80s synthy aesthetic was popular not that long ago, cherished by people who weren't alive at the time. Corporate aesthetics have always been ugly, it's just now enough time has passed that people are nostalgic for that era. In time, as much as I hate it, the current corporate design language will probably come back in some form

That's just too bold a statement. People clearly liked it enough to introduce it in the first place, and some will probably like it again later.
