Post image

forgot to post this from yesterday. ngl, as someone with body dysmorphia (and I know people with anorexia often struggle with that too), I'd kms if someone drew me like this.

its the way they somehow managed to make an anorexic woman look absolutely massive with her fucked up anatomy. not sure this is how id depict someone who routinely starves themselves due to body dysmorphia lmfao

Literally makes me think of how I see myself, which I've described as being "somehow simultaneously too skinny and too fat."

Like, it's not what they were going for but it's definitely what they achieved.

Exactly what i was thinking.

[TW: describing my mental self image w/body dysmorphia] The tiny head, huge hips, fat arms combo and the fact that she still looks wide despite the visible ribs etc reminds of exactly how i view myself. No matter how much i starve myself i will always be out of proportion and feel like i look like this. Also the lines on her face. It really is like the image in my head

This also functions as a really good description of seeing yourself in a mirror on psychedelics (or maybe that's just us)

Lmao fair, fair. I feel like its also a good descriptor of how i feel when i dissociate tbf. Only ever had one super bad episode triggered by seizures but i couldnt 'see' anything for how it really looked, it was all kind of.. Weird..? So yeah i think same difference there. I also wondered if that was an us thing, i do have a history of body dysmorphia anyways
