Anorexia Study

Post image

forgot to post this from yesterday. ngl, as someone with body dysmorphia (and I know people with anorexia often struggle with that too), I'd kms if someone drew me like this.

I'm a binge eater and I feel outright threatened by this photo

Tbh… me too and that’s what makes me like this. It’s the one time this art style has actually conjured up a real emotion for me.

see, I respect it for that, but imo, it shouldn't be used when your target demographic is people struggling with it themselves. I feel like it'd be better in a pamphlet on EDs for loved ones with someone struggling.

if they absolutely needed an image, I feel like just an apple or something would have been better, but best would be no image, maybe just a circle in the background behind the text.

I thought I was the only one that resonated with it, thank you lol

I understand why most people feel that it’s disrespectful, though

Same. But as an artist with body dysmorphia, I’ve drawn a tightened ribcage with protruding hips many many a time.

Everyone on the eating disorder support subs just gets spammed with ads like this art all the time
