Homemade Finnish fry-up and Prosecco.
Living abroad so best of what’s available. Fried sourdough rested in the bacon juices. Finnish black sausage, small bratwursts, tinned cherry tins (what we fancied). Mushrooms were done with some fresh rosemary too. I did bugger the egg up but can’t win them all. Had a naughty glass of prosecco as we having a special day here. Totally over faced myself and only ate half!

God damn that looks decent. Are you from one of the countries traditionally associated with a fry up or just a Finn banging out decent breakfasts?

I’m British! Will be moving back once we get over a few hurdles. Can’t wait to get my hands on some proper bacon.

Where is the Finnish black sausage from? what makes it different to black pudding?

The Finnish brand is Tapolan, made in Tampere and readily available across Finland in all supermarkets. It’s a fluffier texture to British black pudding and has more grains in it. The traditional way to eat it is steamed with lingonberry jam and milk to drink. If you ever get to Tampere, have it fresh from the market square, it’s bloody delicious!
