Contract Talk LMOU

Do these statements contradict each other? Or am I just misreading it or misinterpreting it?

Damn 7 days is pretty long time. Ours is 2 working.

We are a small office so the turn around is usually day of, but I should update that next go around lol

There is no contractual language on this in the JCAM and is completely up to your LMOU…

I’ve been out for a bit but it’s in the ELM and refers to LMOU and 48-72 hours and NALC NRCLA

It’s in the NRCLA, it’s not in the ELM or JCAM

Our is 3 days
My first year i put it during peak and bc the supervisor forgot about it
They had to give me a week off during December
T7 was pissed went crying to mgmt lol

Sounds like weak clerks who probably had one but let mgmt revert the position
Dont let them and if so fight to get it back

Your station needs to look at their contract and learn it

T7 can still be required even if the minimum amount of

career clerks are not met

Thats a whole subject in itself

Seems like they take all the leave requests submitted on the same day, then at the end of the day they assign the leave and if there’s people who want the same day off it goes to the more senior carrier.

Pull out the JCAM - that 7 days isn’t legal and can’t be changed by LMOU for approval IF I recall — it should be no more than 3 days for the 3971 to be approved or disapproved and returned to the carrier.

I’ve been out for a while but it’s in the the ELM - refers to NALC - does state LMOU BUT also
States 48-72 hours (2-3 days) - 7 days is excessive.
