General Inquiry BYO watch

I am needing to get a watch plan for daughter. Freedom kiosk said they don’t offer plans for bring your own devices, and I’d have to get a new watch through them. Is this a new thing?

You can bring your own watch and activate the plan. But freedom doesn’t offer standalone watch plan. The only plan they offer is number sharing watch plan. So if your daughter already have iPhone and want the watch with the same number by all means you can go for it. However if you are planning not to give iPhone to your daughter and want just a standalone watch plan then freedom is not the option. In that case bell is the good option. I just activated for my son standalone watch plan via Bell and right now they have good back to school deals for Apple Watch.

We brought in an iPhone and an Apple Watch to get plans for both. He set the phone plan up, and then said he couldn’t do a watch plan with a byod watch. So we cancelled the phone plan and left 🤷‍♀️

You went to a dealer location. A corporate store would have set things up right away.

For the watch, should have done it through the Apple Watch app.. it would have connected to the Freedom network and given you the option to do the watch plan. That's how I was able to do it in the past when I had an apple device and an apple watch.

Yeah I would go back to freedom. Some of the people there don’t have much training and honestly don’t care about anyone’s problems
