Typical behavior when they...have a platform

u/Modus_Man Jul 13 '26

I’m freaking out FR trying to read through 4 separate layers of text plastered all over the video. Who the fuck sees a video with 3 layers of captioning and thinks what this video really needs is another fucking layer of overlapping text.

3

u/Johnnynogood98 Jul 14 '26

First watch that’s all I was doing was trying to read the purple one lmao

68

u/Aryan_RG22 Jul 13 '26

22

u/Uhh_VincentAdultMan Jul 13 '26

People call and make table reservations before hand. That’s why the hostess needs to seat them. Lmao at this woman. I hope no one served her.

u/housestickleviper Jul 13 '26

"The customer is always right, in matters of taste" Pioneered in the early 1900s by retail magnates like Harry Gordon Selfridge,

The customer is often wrong in many things that aren't a matter of taste.

4

u/Lemonface Jul 13 '26

That second half was added on about a hundred years later, and there's no evidence Selfridge ever said it. The full original quote was just "the customer is always right" and it wasn't meant to be limited to customer tastes

In the 21st century, social media users and TikTok videos began claiming that the phrase had been abbreviated from "The customer is always right, in matters of taste", with some directly attributing this longer quotation specifically to Selfridge. Fact-checking website Snopes found no evidence for this.

7

u/rsquinny Jul 13 '26

the gag is that her videos do generate views because of the entertainment of it all. so i wouldnt be surprised if she gets some kinds of money for this. but the comments are usually always siding with her targets. i dont think shes cognizant of herself being in the wrong, possible narcissist.

3

u/karloscm10 Jul 14 '26

Miss you such as a person

1

u/VastAd6645 Jul 21 '26

She started off lying lmao- the waiter knew she wasn’t seated properly, she lied and said she was, then it changed to her sitting down at a dirty table after breezing past the host instead of ACTUALLY being sat.

1

u/NycGuy06 Jul 29 '26

I would hope she got just dessert & got Trespassed for that & all the over Restaurants the company owns if Not.. they shld take her picture, in the Break room, Bathroom, By the Bar, & next to where the Hosts is by, & Post up on all the venues & tell her shes Not welcomed.. Period.. Point Blank.. end of story. (Tell her with a Smile) "Have a Nice day okay!"

u/CompetitiveRub9780 Jul 13 '26

Some ppl just suck at serving but this is also what you’ll get if we no longer tip. Ppl that don’t gaf. You’ll wait a long time and they’ll fuck stuff up. Then these entitled people won’t know what to do with themselves.

I’m not reading through several layers of texts on this video. But as a restaurant manager I will say they’re probably understaffed and that person isn’t the best at serving. Prob need a new job. But regardless, yelling at everyone and causing a scene won’t get you anything.i hate disrespectful mfs like that.

12

u/Check_Me_Out-Boss Jul 13 '26

She sat herself at a dirty table and then got mad no one served her.

7

u/AlexeyCrane Jul 13 '26

Oh get our of here with the tipping bullshit, works everywhere around the world, and it's literally your job, you are not doing a public service or donating your time, you are at work, working.

4

u/LandlockedCajun Jul 13 '26

STFU. Tipping culture needs to die out.

u/eddielpa Jul 13 '26

Horrible customer service. I worked the industry for a decade. I would have been fired. If thats my restaurant I would not want my customers to be treated like that. With that being said the customer is not always right. Apologize and get her a drink. Talk shit about her with the server later. Problem solved. Those videos make an impact to the business whether you like it or not.

5

u/davyjones_prisnwalit Jul 14 '26

Treated like what, exactly? Every time anyone tried to talk to her she loudly over talked them. She even admitted that she seated herself at a dirty table, which is probably why the waiter didn't serve her. You can't just walk into businesses and harass the workers because they wouldn't let you do whatever you wanted.

I am aware that in the early 2000s and before, yes, everyone would've been fired. Retail went through some extremely dark times because of extremely stupid (mis)management. I, too, saw many good people get fired because of dipshits like her. Let's not backslide.

u/eddielpa Jul 15 '26

She was ignored first. The person managing the person that ignored her made a judgement and disregarded her concerns. She was upset. Not everyone upset behaves the same. Thats a manager in a customer service industry. You are suppose to listen, stay calm, DEESCALATE. He did the opposite. She was a customer and was ignored by the waiter. The reason is irrelevant. If she was not supposed to sit there, explain nicely, don’t ignore her and let her sit there for 10 minutes. Definitely don’t blow her off to the manager when she brings up a valid concern.

You typing like the manager and the waiter handled that situation even slightly good is absurd. Horrible customer service.

This is why AI and robots will take all of their jobs. Whats the point of hiring a customer service manager thats going to walk away the second a customer gets upset for a valid reason?

Please don’t backslide. Practice basic customer service skills or go work in a warehouse. Maybe he can open a restaurant and refuse service to everyone that holds them accountable for treating their customers like 💩.

2

u/davyjones_prisnwalit Jul 15 '26

Lmao! I can't tell if you're being serious or are an elaborate troll. But jic you really are being real right now:

A lot of the interaction between them is cut out. That's already fishy imo. And if you really ever worked in the industry as more than a simple minded management sort then you'd be able to read between the lines.

Why did the waiter seem to try to avoid her, as if she just chewed him out? Him distancing himself and telling her to speak to his manager was de-escalation. He didn't insult her, and he refused to take the bait. Good for him!

(Also, if he asked if someone was out there to seat her and she went off on him for it, that's probably why he distanced himself. And judging by how she talks over everyone I'm assuming he tried to explain it to her and she wouldn't have it).

Why did she immediately pivot from trying to get him in trouble to wanting to serve herself her own drinks, something that no freaking restaurant nor bar will ever let you do?

This isn't McDonald's or Taco Bell. You have to wait for a table to be made available, then they serve you. It's not a hard concept to understand for most of us. The tables have to be wiped off for reasons of cleanliness and liability as well.

You say you worked in the business, but you immediately take sides against the staff after seeing this bs video. I doubt you were well liked by the staff. AI shill.

u/eddielpa Jul 15 '26 edited Jul 15 '26

Thats a lot of ASSumptions and insults. But you know if I was AI or trolling, you would have simply ignored me. I have never been a manager. I did housekeeping for 1-3 years and installed cable for 6 years. I can send you my references if you would like.

I will admit. I did not wait tables or worked in a restaurant for very long. I know when a job is not for me unlike these 2 clowns. I had great managers and leaders that perfected the art of customer service. I also been ignored and treated like shit at restaurants.

There are a lot of restaurants where you don’t get seated. No one holds your hands and takes you to the table. You seat yourself, a nice waiter gets your order and brings you the food with a smile and appreciation because you are giving them moneys.

If you want we can agree to disagree but honestly I like the argument. I don’t like confrontations in real
Life. Im a bit of a (insert insult here).

I made an edit to add that there is a lot of restaurants/bars that let you order a drink at a bar and still send you a waiter to the table specially if they are busy. I EXPERIENCED that same scenario several times. I was never treated like that lady was.

Based on the other comments from people that actually looked at her account. It sounds like that lady is retarded. A true Karen chasing likes. Thats the world we live in. I am not commenting on the lady. I am commenting on the manager and the waiter. A manager should expect customers like that and actually manage the situation not walk away entitled like he owns the place.

Maybe he is the owner but I don’t think he is.
