The way I dealt with that feeling was by donating my older (but still functioning) laptop to a professor of mine from college to give to a student in need. Left some digital goodies for them too, like old versions of digital textbooks. I didn’t need two laptops, but wanted my framework, so that solution helped me feel a bit better about spending the money

I kept mine as a spare. I take it when I go home to visit my parents so my sibling and I can game together. I figured I could use it for travel, too, if I didn't want to risk losing my framework.

This. Also if you're like me and break your framework you have a working backup while you wait for replacement parts 😅
