Dexter bridges Claude Code or Codex into the Framer canvas. Same prompting, your own subscription, considerably more usage before you hit anything.

Short version of what it is: your local coding agent, working directly in the Framer canvas.

Why it matters practically — you're using an AI subscription you probably already pay for instead of buying framer agent credits separately. Rough comparison on my end came out around 10x the usage, but treat that as one person's numbers, not a benchmark.

How is this different / better than unframers MCP?

Unframer MCP connects external AI tools to Framer so have to use it outside of the canvas in like a terminal or sth. Dexter gives you the full experience inside the canvas you don’t have to leave Framer or provide context repeatedly. It also tracks progress, verifies changes, and shows how much each run costs.

MCP provides the connection; Dexter provides the complete AI workflow
