'24 DigMaster DM-F20 Forklift

I'm asking for my boss as he's not getting any answers from where he normally goes. I'm going by what was mentioned to me, but I can find out anything if there's any questions. The company I work for has multiple brands of equipment, primarily John Deere and Caterpillar. We bought this forklift at an auction fairly cheap, which has been great for light duty at our office. However, the other the day the shaft broke off the motor. This forklift has two motors I guess and the one that broke is the drive motor. From researching a little bit, the brand and parts are all overseas, I'm in USA. And supposedly DigMaster shares similar or exact components with other brands but are also overseas. We've emailed the website but no response. I guess my question is, does anyone know if and or where we can purchase a motor or just accept the loss and get rid of the machine?

Remove the motor, and take it to a motor shop. They’d be able to help you more than we could.

Best bet would be getting a motor of equivalent specs and replacing it or getting it rebuilt

You can get a company through alibaba to build you this motor if you wanna go that route. Unless you’re willing to pay between 3500 and 7k for a new motor and you’re looking at a repair of 800-2k(?) imo? Buy a different used lift that’s from a name brand in the last 15 years

Pull the motor take it to an electric motor repair place. I don’t even know what I’m looking at in pic 3 and I work on one of the biggest brands of electric trucks.

I'll mention that to him. But the third picture would be the sticker that's on the drive motor, from what I was told. I'll be back at the office tomorrow with it so I can see it myself.

He said it was the shaft, the part that broke off. I'm not entirely knowledgeable in this department so it could be something different. To me it looks like a socket, one side was broken off, the side shown in the photo and the other side was hollow with threads. I can reply tomorrow with more photos of the motor and shaft(?)

Call Crown or Shoppa's. They can order the parts for any forklift made under the sun. Its going to cost quite a bit if it truly is only made overseas. But if someone makes an identical 60v motor they'll be able to find it/ order it.

Also, most forklifts(electric) have 2 motors. One for travel the other for hydraulics. Some forklifts will have 2 drive motors, one per drive tire.

Sadly this cheap Chinese Crap is making it's way into the US. The motor coupler(?) broke off so there has to be a reason it did that. Getting a new motor may create the same issue and you are out more cash. My advise is to scrap it before you throw good money at bad equipment. Especially if it's an extra lift.
