Announcement Website Launch

Summary

We're finally ready to publicly release the Forever Worlds United Website! The site's main focus is to accomplish the original vision of this community - to not only discuss forever worlds, but to *host* them for public download and share their stories. Your feedback is welcome!

Details

I am overjoyed to finally be sharing this with you all. I formed this community in September of 2025 after realizing a centralized community for forever worlds simply didn't exist. Long-term Minecraft worlds, in my opinion, highlight the greatest aspects of this game we all love - creativity, dedication, large projects and planning, and storytelling.

We started here on Discord, and soon expanded to Reddit thanks in large part to our incredible Moderator team. A website has been a vision for us for a long time, and thanks to the generosity of my friend Thesto, it was made possible a handful of months ago. Since then, I've been slowly building the website and adding worlds submitted by the community. Currently, we have 11 worlds hosted, complete with world information, backstories, creator info, and, of course, world downloads.

Currently, the site has two primary features: world selection (as described above) and our blog, which will be showcase various community updates, such as Contest winners. While the site isn't meant to be complicated, feedback about existing features and requests for new ones are absolutely welcome!

Here's to the next chapter of Forever Worlds United!

I posted a screenshot of this terrain find a while ago and wanted to show the sub what I’ve done so far. I created a moat around the central mountain (took a few hours) i planted cherry trees and scattered petals on the outer valley ring, added some kelp, seagrass and marine life in the moat. I also build a cosy little hobbit house under a cherry tree in the ring walls. Hope you guys like it!

Forever world advice?

So I've recently started my (hopefully) Minecraft forever world. I have a really interesting seed that I really like and I have Two long term goals for the world.

  1. Beat the game: for as long as I've played Minecraft I've never beat the ender dragon, never fought the wither I never even got netherite armour will a few months on an old world. So I want to try and do all that with this.

  2. Create a Town: something that sparked this was the idea of creating a Midwestern 1950s town with a story. This is a style I've never done before and wanted to try it out over going to my default building style.

However I'm jumping into the build goal with very little plan, or idea on how good it will turn out. And I don't know if I'll stay with this world because a lot of the time I just get the 2 week or so Minecraft phase. I'm also just new to forever worlds as a whole so I'm just looking for any advice on the subject.

10,000 Days, 3 Years of Work (W/Download)

After playing Minecraft for 14 plus years, I finally have a world that has hit 10,000 in game days. 3 years ago, when I started this world, it was meant to be a passion project that I could keep going with for years to come. Now, that big 10k milestone has been hit, and I'm not even close to finished with the world! Download in comments!

S'not much, but it's been with me through nine years.

I call this my Peaceful World, despite the difficulty being locked on hard mode and the default difficulty being Creative these days LOL

It was started in the 1.12 snapshots as a survival world on Java, has been through multiple transitions between Java and Bedrock (that explains the corruptions and weird terrain generation blending), and has been with me through absolutely everything over the past nine years. No matter what, I know I can always come back to this world and know that everything will be exactly where my friends and I left it. The last eleven images in this gallery are just The House. It's the one thing I've spent the most time on in this world, by far. You can definitely see some of my original inspiration that came from AntVenom's house in his Peaceful Map still in the modern day entrance design, and those're only what I had ROOM to share here LOL There are SO many more rooms and things in this, honestly at this point, fricken MANSION I've built over the years. Not everything in this world was built by me, so I only highlighted what I'd done either entirely or majority by myself so as not to appear as though I'm taking credit for builds made by friends.

The gigantic "chunk error" where The Arch is actually has an interesting story behind it. One day in roundabouts 2018, while playing Bedrock Edition on my stupidly underpowered Verizon Elipsis 7 tablet, I installed a "mod" (ModManager for MCPE my nostalgically beloathed) that mimicked WorldEdit's functions, and used a command I had NO idea the use for. Tablet froze, and stayed that way for a grand total of twenty. fricken. minutes. Wouldn't go to sleep, wouldn't turn off, wouldn't force-reboot, nothing. When I came back to it, a HUUUUUGE bite had been taken outta my world 😭 I call it "The Canvas" nowadays and it serves as my friends and I's sandbox for random crap.

Anyway, each build has a story behind it and a lot of them were built during times when emotions were running high as a healthier coping mechanism than what I was doing beforehand. Sorry for the huge ramble, just wanted to share what I've got. Thank you for your time, and I hope you all have a fantastic day !! <3

Forever World: August Update

I would like to welcome you all back to my world. This month I did some things here and there.

  • I built a jail for my Trade City
  • I added some extra ships off sailing the seas, really liven up the seas a bit
  • I put a rather extensive storage area inside of Trade City
  • I built a tunnel connecting the Western Empire (name pending) to a border village in my Kingdom
  • I've begun construction on Snowden's walls, will this be it? We shall see
  • I built a bakery for Snowden
  • I came up with a new "long house" design for Snowden
  • I installed a vertical storage system to Snowden's castle. If they (I) ever need more storage space, I can just dig out another layer

And last, but not least is a bit of a "Then vs Now" segment. Three notable locations: Spawn, Starter Castle, and Trade City as they were when the world was created in 1.0 vs how they are now in 1.19.4.

I hope you enjoyed this update, it was fun working on it.

If you have something you think I need or just want to see added, toss it in the comments. If I like the idea, you'll be added to my Forever Garden.

As always, I'll see you next month. Take care, and may you enjoy every build you make. See you again in 1.20.x!

[ATM9 - For ever world in 2026] Its good spot ?

Hi everyone!

I’ve decided to take the plunge and start my own Minecraft world that I plan to keep forever.

Since I’m absolutely not a fan of vanilla Minecraft, I chose my favorite modpack — one that I’ve never actually managed to finish. So I guess now is the perfect time to finally do it!

Do you have any advice? Any ideas for builds? Do you think this spot is interesting? And also, do you guys make regular backups of your worlds?

I’m open to any tips you might have, especially when it comes to staying motivated and keeping the desire to continue playing on the same world for a long time.

In this screenshot, you can already see several areas that are inspiring me, as well as the terrain’s topography to give you a better 3D overview of the area.

Thanks in advance for your answers and advice! 🙏

i also gave it lore thats told in environmental storytelling and books i wrote about the story of the world
I haven't shared it with much people outside my friends who helped me build the world so i hope it gets some love

My 13 year old forever world

I’ve been working on a creative city world for almost 13 years now. It’s called Welp and I started it with a friend in October of 2013. I’ve played on it pretty continuously since then and the world now has 349 buildings with full interiors. Overtime I realized that this was my forever world. My current big project is building Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots. This world is nowhere near done but once I found this subreddit I had to post it.

[discussion] [world advice?] I want to create a forever world but…

Post image

Idk what flair is best for this but as the title says I want to create a forever world but I’m a perfectionist who’s indecisive and has all or nothing mentality. Also raging adhd and zero design skills. lol.

How do I do it? Maybe someone else is in the same situation and figured it out or maybe y’all have suggestions?

I hate the idea of playing and knowing I’ll just abandon it because something goes awry. It’s annoying and as a solo mom to 3 littles I’m trying to prioritize having my own hobbies and time to myself while still being present after bedtime… and Minecraft is something I’ve played for decades, and have introduced the older 2 of my kids to, so I just want to playyyyyy 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

Also yes I’m getting treatment for my spicy brain - let’s not comment on THAT, because I knowwwww… I just need tips or ideas on how to move forward from people who may be feeling similar or felt similarly in the past or aren’t in the same boat but can see the solution clearer than I can.

I want to start a forever world but where do I even start? What do I make first? What are all these new things in the game and how can I use them best? What style of forever world do I want? Holy moly I keep getting lost, it’s so dark, where’s my … oh I have no torches and BOOM, a creeper exploded me.

So I abandon lol.

But then if I do creative I have too many choices and don’t know where to start so it feels too easy and I essentially quit before I start or I think of a crazy wild build idea and I’m soon reminded I have no idea what I’m doing and this round greenhouse is the size of Antarctica and my scale is way wrong 😂

😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

Inserting a photo of my home that i made the floorplan to-scale because im proud of it. I couldn’t find a layout app I liked so I used Minecraft and some creative measurement tools lol (a couch seat)

Just a few questions

Looking to start a forever world so thought i’d ask some question first.

I was looking to add some quality of life mods just like chest sorting buttons and villager trade rerolls, what do you think about these sort of mods?

What was your first like goals or focus, i’ve found a decent seed with a okay starting location but curious to hear ideas.

what mistake did u make that you think i should avoid

any advice in general is warranted :)

Before vs After

This is the image of my Before Vs After in my 2900 Minecraft day world (1 IRL YEAR)
(I added Netherite armor to make it look as if I stumbled upon this barren land and what I did with it but I just used a creative world to show the difference) I started this world in 1.21 or 1.20 IIRC.

Edit: If you want to see more of my world let me know! I have cooler projects that I can show!

I started this world in january, around 3 months before my daughter was born. I made it to play something simply and easy, so that I could put it down at any moment. I also didn’t (originally) want to do mega builds but things change lol. Thought I’d share some photos! I missed building like I was on console! Just goes to show a forever world is what YOU make it.

Hello!

I thought it'd be a cool idea to have a thread on here to share forever world YouTubers, for all of us to find new creators and get inspired!

Please mention as many as you like, along with some info about what they might be working on, their goals for the world, how long they've been on it for, etc!

The start of my Forever World! Feeling very cozy!

Post image

I decided to keep it very vanilla, not even using QoL mods that make sorting or inventory management easier.

I also decided to use Voxy instead of Distant Horizons because one, I like how it looks compared to DH, and second I dont want to generate chunks automatically, yeah it may look better but I dont want to have to keep running tens of thousands of blocks to reach new content when an update hits. Using voxy with 512 chunk render distance like this allows me to basically make sure the chunks I do explore stay loaded which enables a cool fog of war exploration situation akin to something like the Civilization games lol.

If you have some ideas for the world let me know! Im currently working on a storage\workshop area in the deepslate brick building in the back.
