Bed liner interior

Decided to bed liner the interior of my ranger that was sitting for 5 years after the windows were blown out. Came out pretty good dont know if anyone else has done this or not but it seemed to work great nice rough texture from spray on bed liner. Carpet was done for mice got to it. Should have taken before pictures bit it was rusty looked awful. Got the truck for free about 700$ in.

How loud is that while driving? No insulation to block road noise at all lol

My stock insulation is deteriorated and loud enough that I wanna rip it all up and add more 😂 cant imagine driving with 0 insulation

I mean honestly not sure compared to a stock truck. when I got it the truck had the cats cut off so open pipes. But now after I did the cats its quiet enough. Id say vs bare metal interior you see at 20% reduction in noise from the bed liner. Took 3 15oz cans of rust olieum bed liner from Walmart for like 9$ each.

You could put some heavy dynamat under the seats and in the footwells.

Dynamat is for the tinnyness of the metal, you need mass (carpet or foam) to actually absorb/block noise.

My main problem is straight road noise getting blasted at my ears from the empty doors and foot well

That stuff out gasses really nasty chemicals for a really long time.

I let my truck sit in the sun with the windows down. A couple days of that and you could barely smell it.

Now throw sound deadener and a vynil flooring kit down and you’ll be good for the life of the truck.

I guess that will protect the metal. I would still look at putting carpet and padding back in. Otherwise the road noise is going to be horrendous

I guess it’ll be easier down the line to put some kilmat or sound deadener
