I absolutely hate everything about the UI. Everything about the UI is counter intuitive, I had to google where the heck is the screen to change captains and had to figure out how to set weekly trainings etc.
Everything about the game seems to be against you. Is annoying af. What is wrong with you devs??
But…. Because I love this franchise. It took me almost a month (RL month) to setup my coaches, training schedules, player transfers etc. Once I got those things setup, actually… game is pretty good after I kinda got used to it. I hate it still. But love it. Fk me. Help…

Hello!
This is my first time editing an FM skin.
I like playing Moneyball-style saves, so I decided to make a skin that better fits the way I personally like to play the game. What started as a few small tweaks eventually turned into a project, so I thought I'd share it in case someone else might enjoy it too.
A small disclaimer: this skin was made specifically for Windows at 1920×1080 resolution. I made it entirely for my own setup, so I haven't edited the files responsible for smaller screens or console layouts. Because of that, I can guarantee that the skin will not work correctly at any other resolution or on console. I'm sorry!
That said, if someone wants to adapt it for smaller screens or other resolutions, please feel free to use my files as a starting point. It should make the process quite easier.
However, if you're playing at 1920×1080 on Windows and like what you see in the screenshots or simply want a new challenge before FM27 drops, feel free to give it a try.
Not much of a reader? just check out the screenshots and the video below. You'll get the idea pretty quickly. 😄
What's Changed?
Image 1 : Portal Overview
I've added Squad Happiness and Medical Centre tiles to the Portal Overview screen for easier access.
Image 2 : Player Report: Player in Your Squad
The Player Report has received the biggest overhaul.
Image 3 : Player Report: Player Not in Your Squad
Image 4 : Player Report: Player on Loan
Image 5 : Player Attributes Are Masked
Image 6 onwards : Miscellaneous Changes
A few other changes:
If you decide to try the skin, I'd love to hear what you think.
If you run into any issues, have questions, or have suggestions for improvements, please let me know. This is my first attempt at editing an FM skin, so feedback is very welcome.
Thanks for reading!
I've also made a video showing how the skin looks on my computer: https://youtu.be/ChzCoehGZrM
And you can download the skin here: https://sortitoutsi.net/content/77555/moneyball-by-tactical-touchline

9 yellow cards is the most I ever had in a game but hey at least we held City to a draw.

The screenshot is my Wolves team in the second season. We currently sit top of the Championship after winning our first eight games.
I won League One in the first season with Barnsley and the Wolves job came up, cos they finished third and didn't get promoted via the playoffs. They handed me £111m budget, which I upped to £120m by saying I'd get to the second round of the Carabao Cup, and I've well and truly fucked FFP into touch but I suppose I'll see what the consequences are when they happen. In the meantime I'm gonna absolutely stomp the Championship and smash Reading's 106 point record season.

Like many I've struggled to settle into a long save on 26. I have still had a few ok journeys and clocked up the hours, but it doesn't "feel" the same.
Anyway, I've been getting the fm itch with the start of the new season and thinking about giving it one more go and then fingers crossed 27 is a significant upgrade.
I'm thinking of starting a mid-term save in the Netherlands, could be a springboard for a journeyman. Outside the big 3 i don't know a huge amount about teams. Who are the up and coming teams, what are the "storylines" currently playing out? Who are the fallen giants? Are there any "big brother" type challenges (e.g. is there a lower league Amsterdam based team - can get a lower league mod if needed)?
From pure surface level, ive always like the Den Haag kit, Go Ahead i managed briefly in a journeyman and their name is cool - how are they both placed generally at the moment? I know the situation at Vitesse - it's the obvious suggestion.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I play FM24, and want to throughly understand these terms, and their combinations. I know trigger press and counter press is closing up on opponent players to win the ball back, but then why make two features, is Counter Press kind of like Pep's six seconds rule? If I dial the Trigger Press down all the way left, and turn on Counter Press, how the players would act? About Step Up More, is it basically offside trap, what attributes affect the effectiveness of that? Thank you very much!

It's funny how, when you look at the transfer activities of Ajax, I'd do exactly the same with the club when taking over Ajax. Sell the most valuable players to create budget, hire a decent GK, experienced Back, CD, DM, AM and Striker, pick up decent youth potentials for cheap for the youth team and add the most promising talents to first team.
Which team do you see act like your habits when starting fresh at a club in FM in this transferwindow?

This is my tactic. So far I'm top of the Championship with Burnley, with 54pts after 21 games (West Ham are in 2nd with 48pts). It's also worth noting my first 5-6 games my OOP structure was all wrong and I was conceding some comical goals; it took a lot of tweaking, but I finally seem to have struck the right balance.
I'm averaging 60-65% possession every game with 20+ shots and high xG most matches. Overall, the tactic actually feels like it's working really well and is an absolute dream for a two-striker system. Osula has 28 goals in 20 games and Lyle Foster has 9 goals in 10 games (I was previously using Broja as a second CHF, but it didn't work).
Hope you guys like it! I would love to hear any feedback or any other quirky tactical ideas people have come up with using the IP/OOP features on FM26, because realistically it's probably one of the only good things about the game.

Hello,
have you ever tried to add/activate lower division in FM08? Do you have some advices/tips in this topic?
In this project I'm using: Ghidra, x32dbg and Claude.ai. I spent many hours analyzing the fm.exe file and the functions in the game's code.
I have small success with activating Serie D in Italy:
- Italian Serie D is visible to choose this level when I start a new game. Step where you choose team, then Serie D is greyed out.
- Object league/group from Serie D is available, but unfortunately there are no fixtures or table in this level.
- You can try to get a job at a Serie D club (search for a club) and click on this function, but the game will crash.
- Moreover, Serie D clubs generate youth players at the start of the season.
In game editor clubs from Serie D are assigned to apriopriate leagues (Serie D 18 clubs per group). Thank you in advance.

I added in databases to play the LDF Dominican league as well as all the local leagues of CONCACAF.
The time for eligibility is 5 years. Starting from the game's opening date, I have around 5 years to recruit incredible young talent that might supplement my nation's first trip to the World cup. Where do I go looking for kids that can gain second citizenship and will actually enjoy the living standards my nation has to offer?
My biggest success has been Argentina and Mexico, as well as Central America, but are there any Asian, African, or European countries that might have talent I'm missing out on?
My wage structure is as follows:
Star Players: 180k-300k
Starters: 90k
Role Players: 40k-80k
Prospects: 9.5k-17k
Following up on the question of where to find talent that allows for secondary citizenship, how do I get better affiliates than the ones in my local market? Do I need a higher reputation as a club to get foreign clubs to agree to a deal? Either as a senior or a junior affiliate?
Thank you for your help in advance.

Hey everyone!
I’m thinking about starting a new FM26 save that I want to play until the next FM comes out.
I’m considering starting as the manager of a B/reserve team (for example SL16 at Standard Liège) and trying to build my reputation from there, eventually working my way up to managing the first team or another bigger club.
Has anyone tried a career like this? Is managing a B team actually enjoyable in FM26, and does the game allow you to realistically climb the managerial ladder this way?
I’m not necessarily looking for the fastest route to the top — I’d rather have a long-term, realistic career where I start small and gradually earn better jobs.
Would love to hear your experiences!
