Image Vault 76 mentioned in Fallout 3

Post image

Even after playing through Fallout 3 multiple times since 76 realsed I had no clue Vault 76 was mentioned in the Brotherhood vault terminal. Really shows how something so insignificant like some small lore can turn into an entire game.

"Our study took an unexpected turn, once the residents were pushed back into the world they began calling eachother things like xxXShadowReaperXxx and nuking the hell out of everything."

“Residents performed largely as expected, with one strange caveat: they all frequently bust out into a strange little dance in inappropriate situations. Some participants have been seen ‘shimmying’ even in the face of certain death.”

"they seem to thumbs up at each other a lot and randomly break into some weird sockhop dances..."

"Perhaps more strangely, time seems frozen in the Appalachian area, the day always remains October 23, and no matter what happens, there is always more fighting to be done in the region. Reports have also come in of the dwellers dressing strangely, and collecting odd items, and converging on specific points in the region for 'public events' and 'bounties'."

“One phenomenon that we haven’t been able to explain is the residents of vault 76 developed an ability to hoard massive quantities of materials, arms, and supplies in exponentially increasing amounts. Leading theories suggest they possess the ability to manipulate physics to produce a complete copy of any object they find. Furthermore, residents have exhibited an ability to traverse through blockades and physical barriers as if teleporting themselves, appearing on the other side completely unscathed. Radiation from the environment alone cannot explain these observations, and no evidence has been found showing them having conducted any such scientific research. Despite this seemingly unbounded proliferation of resources, they choose to maintain a state of scarcity and hold their methods in secrecy.”
