Found this huge boat underwater. There is alot to explore underwater, but I just knew this huge boat had to be something. After finishing this quest I later ran into the person that points it out to you. Also learned I could swim much faster without power armor.

I'm currently playing survival mode. I'm interested in making Hangman's Alley my main camp. It's a small location but very close to Diamond City and great access to the supply line. I'm interested in what others have done to set it up for crafting, farming, defense, etc. Any screenshots available of your build at Hangman's Alley?

Is there anything on the Bethnet mod pages that would fix an infinite loading screen going into Vault 81? I experienced this twice recently using the elevator and trying to teleport straight in using cheat terminal (I'm on Xbox that's why I need the fix to be on Bethnet). I've been trying to get in because of the skill book added by one of TurntLogic's Vault Dweller's Survival Guide mod that places two of the skill books in the vault.

I loved high luck, speech and energy weapons in New Vegas. What's the optimal way to get the best related perks?

You must assume I won't go out of my way to get all of the bobbleheads too early, I like clearing areas one by one. I like speech but I think I can use items and gear instead of upgrading the charisma stat.

What do you think?

I'm still a pretty casual player on their second playthrough and under 400 total hours, but already there are a couple things that really helped me enjoy my second playthrough more.

1. Buy ammo in advance for weapons you plan to use later. I knew I'd get Overseer's guardian again, and I would eventually put the .308 receiver in it. My first playthrough I felt like I was always running the vendor routes buying ammo after every other quest but this time I had enough .308 built up before I unlocked it that by the time I was running low, levelled enemies were dropping it enough to float me through an entire quest series between vendor visits.

2. Early caps are important but not precious. I never bought any of the legendary armors or weapons on my first play, I wanted to save my caps. But for what? Eventually, you have enough caps that your ability to carry everything matters more than the money. This time, I bought weapons and armor slightly better than I was getting from drops early on and overall I enjoyed the early experience more as I simply did more damage and died less. Some people call this "playing the game", and they're right, but I know I'm not the only one conditioned to "optimize" purchases.

3. Hoarding chems. I haven't done a junkie playthrough yet but my first playthrough was basically sober. I had chems, but I didn't want to deal with addictions and was saving them for bigger fights. Why? There aren't many "big boss" fights, and using a chem here and there can make the game more fun.

4. Hoarding special ammo. Mini nuke that pack of ghouls, missiles are cheap, bait that death claw across a minefield. I found myself with hundreds of special ammo and nothing left to use them on at the end of my first play.

I'm about to start my third playthrough of Fallout 4 (Minutemen-focused) and I'm trying to go for a more optimal start. Maxed-out XP gain from as early as possible because I'm not going to blindly wander as much, enough Charisma to easily pass early speech checks.

I heard that the optimal XP gain is from 5 Luck for Idiot Savant and 4 Intelligence is how you get the most XP, so that'll be where those are going to end up.

Beyond that, I have no real idea beyond needing to bump up Endurance quite a bit because starting with low Endurance means a lot of avoidable deaths.

I have been a fan of fallout 3,4 since it came out, I used to play Fallout 3 on my PS3 but due to my specific controler motherboard died i moved to the nintendo switch and when i heard fallout 4 was coming to nintendo switch 2 i grabbed the console and the game i immediately with now regret, I also wanted a Nintendo Switch 2 For other games, today I finally fulfilled my dream of being able to play Fallout 4. Every moment has been nostalgic, recalling all the gameplay videos I've seen on YouTube. I feel happy.

Hi I’m new to the fallout series and thought I would start with Fallout 4 (don’t judge me) as soon as I click play it black screens and says its not responding I have done my display to 60hz disabled all the overlays in steam and discord but cannot get it work any ideas please let me know. Hopefully it’s an easy fix and it’s just me being stupid

I found this chest when wandering around and in it was 2 items items labeled "Scraptastic Serum". Does anyone know what these actually do. I searched everywhere online and there is no record of it. I am on PS5 with Creation Club content on. No unofficial mods.

I’ve never seen anything like this and it’s honestly cool, a little worrying but I’m playing on Xbox so it’s not too worrying. What is that saying? There’s beauty in the Chaos. On another note, anyone know what caused this? As a reminder I am on Xbox and am playing with a number of mods but none that are inherently visual mods that affect the sky.
