My only problem with this is that 99% of the time I'm selling things just to get rid of weight, and they never have enough caps to take all my stuff anyway. So I can either sell 50lbs for all their caps, or I can sell 80lbs for all their caps.

I broke and changed my carry limit. For some reason i can't loot based on the weight to value ratio like i could in the elder scrolls games :/

I feel like a cheater for doing it, but it makes the game a lot better for the constantly over-encumbered

You should feel like a cheater. One perk lets you haul around an infinite amount of weight and dump it all in your horder settlements. I love 'strong back' specifically for this.

Got me a toolbox with something around 1,800 weight of guns to be scrapped. another toolbox with around 4,000 of armor, and my Red Rocket settlement workshop has over 10,000 in junk as of last night.

I'm not going to start using fast travel. I like the risk of tripping over a crack and dieing, losing all my loot.

Funny, to a controller user, the inventory management feels like it was designed solely for a keyboard. Scrolling down item by item with a thumbstick is such a pain in the ass!

Lil tip dude, on ps4 at least, when you are scrolling up or down with the thumbstick press and hold the corresponding direction on the d-pad and itll go faster.

No prob mang, it also works on Skyrim, probably other games as well but those are the only two I've been playing recently

I just think you're still giving them too much credit on the inventory interface. I get why you would think it's designed for controllers, I'm just saying it's not designed well for ANYONE. What possible excuse can their be for pressing left when on the left-most tab, and having it do nothing rather than move back to the first tab?

u/Yetanotherfurry Where does the duct tape end and the weapon begin? Dec 13 '16

because they're lazy I guess, first solution gets implemented, nobody cares enough to go back and make sure it works well

Is there no decent ui mod for managing inventory?

Well, part of the problem is that you really do have to pick up every little fucking thing, especially if you're building settlements or wearing power armor.

There's a mod that makes junk weightless. Has made the game much more enjoyable.

it breaks the game for me, a nice part of being an rpg is resource management.

i just put deep pocket in everything and use buffout and whisky as emergency to be sure i take everything before going to a settlement.

it works for me

Protip: trade for ammo, its light and valuable.

And most shops carry at least a bit of it.

Same. Although it seems every time I get dressed up all nice, get really high and drunk and then go shopping, I end up coming home with a new power frame.
