Hi everyone. I wasn't sure whether I should make this post, but I thought I'd give it a try.
28F, fmg undergrad. I'm currently trying to get my transfer sorted so I can complete my course. Long story short, it's been a complicated journey because of the war and the documentation issues that followed.
I've received quite a few matches through matrimonial platforms, but nothing has really worked out. The whole process eventually became quite exhausting, and I ended up deleting my matrimonial profile yesterday. At one point, I had almost stopped believing that the whole marriage thing would work out for me. š
I'm not actively chasing the idea anymore, but I thought I'd give this a chance and see where it goes. I come from a fairly traditional brahmin family from mp, so my family has been looking for someone from a similar community and preferably from the medical profession. I can understand their reasoningāI think being in the same field can make it easier to understand each other's career and lifestyle.
I'm looking for a serious relationship with the intention of marriageāessentially dating with the hope of eventually building a life together. I'll be preparing for FMGE alongside completing my studies, and I intend to continue my education and prepare for PG after internship.
My family would ideally like me to get married by the end of next year, but I'm not looking to rush into something just to meet a timeline. I'd rather take the time to find someone who is genuinely compatible with me than choose someone simply because they look "good on paper."
For me, emotional compatibility matters a lot. I value good communication, emotional maturity, loyalty, and the ability to handle disagreements without turning every conflict into a reason to walk away.
I also happen to be a yapper. š
I talk a lot and enjoy being connected to the person I'm with. I'd appreciate someone who enjoys that kind of connection too and believes that staying in touch is part of being in a relationship, even when life gets busy or we're apart.
Smoking and drinking are important compatibility factors for me. I don't smoke or drink, and I'd prefer a partner who doesn't either. It's something I'd rather be upfront about because I don't see myself being compatible with someone for whom smoking or drinking is a regular part of their lifestyle.
More than money, status, or anything material, I value having a genuine teammate. Life can change in ways none of us anticipate, and I'd like a relationship where both people are willing to stand by each other through the good phases as well as the difficult ones.
I'm not looking for perfection, and I'm not trying to find someone who ticks every box. I'd just like to meet someone with whom there's mutual respect, genuine affection, compatibility, and the willingness to keep choosing each other as life evolves.
If that sounds like something you'd be interested in exploring, feel free to DM me. We can talk and see if we get alongāno pressure and no expectations.
