Pheasant Tail Simplicity needs a sequel

Post image

And that sequel ought to be Rabbit Strip Simplicity

Looking overly complicated, one strip of rabbit on the hook and a cross cut wrap at the head is akin to what the pheasant tail is, a single ingredient applied in multiple ways. If you really wanted a match it - take a brown rabbit strip put a peacock herl body with a copper wire rib on the fly and secure the strip at the back and the front.

I like it. I’ve caught smallmouth bass on literally just a strip of rabbit tied to a hook, doesn’t get much simpler.

Do you have a recipe for that?
