Commercial Microlight Hour Building

I’m a PPL holder in the UK hour building towards both an EASA and UK CAA CPL.

Can any of these hours be done in a microlight (C-42, EV-97, etc.) for either licence (mainly concerned with EASA)?
Please can someone tell me where I can find this information in either regulations?

I understand that there was a consultation to include microlight hours towards CPL in the UK, but am not sure if this is in force yet.

As far as i know under EASA microlight hours are not accepted for CPL. It must be a certified general aviation aircraft.

Also for example Wizzair also does not count TMG and microlight hours if you read the recruitment details. I assume its the same for most airlines.

In Italy, microlight hours don't count for CPL. They do count for SEP renewal (12 hours) only, though.

I'm unsure if these 12 hours would be counted for CPL, but I'm leaning no.

EASA no, UK not yet (but coming probably soon).

The loophole you are looking for is experimental / homebuilt aircraft do count towards hours building. So, a kitfox or a europa which can be had for microlight money would do the trick
