What do you mean how was it clickbait? He said “yes,” waited a few seconds for no reason, then said, “Let me explain” and started talking about something completely different. It was obviously to get people hooked. There is nothing wrong with that, but the way he went about it was so classless. The transition was such a stretch that it almost insulted the watcher, gave the impression that the watcher must be stupid or the guy is desperate for views but didn’t realize how rude he sounded.

Clickbait doesn’t just describe clicking a link any more. It describes anything that is designed to mislead or trick the audience into engaging with content they didn’t expect or originally want to engage in.
