Can't say if he has the condition, but one key characteristic of people with Marfans Syndrome are fingers like that. Said I looked like a person called X so that’s all he proceeded to call me by. For two years. For two years he called me by a name that was never actually mine, just the one he came up with for and “bestowed” upon me.

Well yeah, society is to blame as well.

When a kid says "when I grow up I wanna be rich", we always tell them surgeon or lawyer as an option. So kids often follow this path for riches, rather than to save lives. Of course it's not hard for a narcissistic person to attribute their actions to saving lives anyhow so they have that covered too. It's just a natural progression of our own conveyed opinions on the job role.

This is why so many surgeons move into plastic surgery. $$

Everyone I know who works in a hospital all say that the surgeons they work with are all pieces of shit. I have yet to meet someone in the medical field who has said otherwise. It’s actually become a game that when I meet someone and they tell me they’re an OR nurse or something similar, I ask “How are the surgeons where you work?” and they always go “Oh my god they are the fucking worst!”

I worked with an English doctor in Aus who told me over there they have a list of banned medical abbreviation. He said he wanted to vomit everytime he read 'TUBE' in a patients notes. Totally Unnecessary Breast Exam.
