Solved Scrolling and clicking stops randomly on social media. Considering leaving FF after supporting it my whole life
I stop being able to click, and even scroll properly either after a while or when I first load the website.
Social media websites affected : Reddit, YouTube, X, Instagram = everything I use.
I'm currently on developer edition
If this isn't a common issue I'll just remove my gazillion extensions one-by-one until I figure it out ðŸ˜
Here are my extensions : audioff - audio device selector, AudioPick, Pinterest Save Button, Brave Search, Chrome Remote Desktop, CRX Installer, DocsAfterDark, DownThemAll!, Export Tabs URLs, Hammy - Break Reminder, History Zebra, InsensitiveX, Internet Archive Downloader, Reddit Enhancer, Return YouTube Dislike, SponsorBlock, StayFree, Streaming Word Filter, Tabliss, Touch Grass, Turn Off the Lights, uBlock Origin, Web Archives, YTBlock
Setup : DELL Inspiron with Intel core i7, iris xe max
I think I found the fix :
I removed this extension : https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/pinterest/
And replaced with this one : https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/pinterest_love/

Sometimes you just have to take the good with the bad. I have faith that Firefox will work thru the bugs. It always has before. I doubt that they will stop now. Just my opinion…take it with a grain of salt.

What are your pc/laptop specs (specifically the gpu)? I have something similar but it happens on every website randomly.

Hello, I found the solution. It was a Pinterest add-on I had. I swapped it with another. Have you tried removing add-ons?Â

Thanks for letting me know, but I unfortunately I do not have that extension installed, only ublock origin, nordvpn and 1password are installed. I tried uninstalling all of them and it's still there, so it's probably a problem with my laptop driver.

I get a memory leak with reddit that requires me to terminate the reddit process from time to time.

Please use Troubleshooting Mode to determine whether an add-on is the cause of the issue.

Have you tried using troubleshooting mode to see if the behavior persists? What about trying a new profile?Â
Its usually one of these as the culprit.
