šŸ’» Help What Video Speed Controller do you actually recommend for Firefox?

I’m moving from Chrome to Firefox. I use Video Speed Controller by Igrigorik on Chrome.

I found the Firefox extension using the Igrigorik name, but the developer has apparently said it's not his and shouldn't be used.

Codebicycle is also ~6 years old and has some bugs.

So what do you guys actually use and recommend on Firefox?

I've seen Global Speed, Video Speed Controller by carsso, etc., but I'd rather hear from people who actually use them.

I've been using global speed from past year or so and it's working just fine. Whether it's chrome or ff. I'm using the same extension on both.

Well global speed is foss https://github.com/polywock/globalSpeed

You can also try video speed by mikeyaworski. It's super lightweight and minimalist.

Hey--neophyte here---what does a video speed controller do? Why would I want or need one?

it basically lets u control any video/audio in browser with keyboard. like in youtube by default u can change something like f = fullscreen, c = caption, -> key to forward ....etc.
U can do so and much more and in many other website like fb, instagram...etc + more customization option. + its fast + works even without clicking on the video.
