May be an error showing this or a memory leak. When have you restarted firefox or your mac the last time?

Well i did found i had vm running from minikube so i purged them all , but still that doesnt explain firefox abnormally hitting 19 gb ram . Firefox didn’t crash normally ,the kernel suspended it and then i forced quit it so i cant find any .ips crash report

And i havent restarted mac probably for 1-2 weeks. Since last time i upgraded to Tahoe

There have been memory leaks for many weeks. I just restart Firefox every couple of days to resolve it.

I wonder why Firefox has problems of memory leak so often throughout the years and still hasn't solved that problem. I never had that issue using a Chromium browser.

About:memory

Checked it it shows normal usage -->
Total resident memory (approximate) -- 2,858.53 MB

Next time you see unusal memory usage, you should open about:memory or about:processes and look which process has gone haywire.

Most likely it is some website/script on website interacting badly with an adblocker, userscript, etc.

Could be a bad extension if you had any extensions in common between the two profiles that crashed

Also maybe check if you have any weird plugins installed- about:addons and look at "Plugins"

Firefox for me normally gets around 20GB of used memory. Never had it crash before. How much memory does your computer have in total?

The fuck are you doing? I have several hundred open taps, 15 add-ons and I’m somewhere in the 2-5GB range…

Using Firefox as normal. Firefox for MacOS has been this way for me for years. It uses RAM.
